Sales & Business Development – Commercial LED Lighting

About the Position

We are seeking an energetic, results-oriented Sales & Business Development Professional to help grow our commercial LED lighting business.

The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B sales, commercial lighting, electrical products, energy-efficiency products, or related industries and be comfortable developing new customers while maintaining long-term relationships with existing accounts.

This position is particularly suited for someone who enjoys prospecting, meeting customers, developing opportunities, preparing proposals, and closing business rather than simply managing existing accounts.

Key Responsibilities

Develop new commercial and B2B customers for LED lighting products and solutions.
Prospect and generate leads through phone calls, email, networking, referrals, field visits, and other sales activities.
Develop relationships with electrical contractors, distributors, property owners, property managers, general contractors, facility managers, hospitality businesses, gas stations, convenience stores, shopping centers, and other commercial customers.
Identify retrofit, renovation, new-construction, and energy-efficiency opportunities.
Meet with customers to understand their lighting requirements and recommend appropriate LED solutions.
Prepare and follow up on quotations, proposals, and sales opportunities.
Conduct regular customer visits and presentations.
Develop relationships with architects, contractors, developers, and other industry professionals who can generate recurring business.
Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular updates on opportunities and expected closings.
Follow up consistently on leads and quotations until the opportunity is won or closed.
Work with management and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of customer orders and projects.
Identify new markets, products, applications, and strategic opportunities for business growth.
Help expand the company's presence throughout the Houston and Texas commercial lighting market.

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of experience in B2B sales or business development preferred.
Experience in LED lighting, electrical products, electrical distribution, construction, energy efficiency, signage, building products, or related industries is highly desirable.
Existing relationships with electrical contractors, distributors, property managers, commercial property owners, or developers are a strong advantage.
Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated and comfortable developing business independently.
Ability to prospect aggressively and convert new opportunities into long-term accounts.
Basic understanding of commercial lighting products and applications preferred; additional product training will be provided.
Comfortable using CRM, email, spreadsheets, and standard business software.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally for customer meetings.

Compensation

Competitive Base Salary + Commission + Performance Incentives

Compensation will be structured to strongly reward new customer acquisition, revenue growth, and profitable sales.
