Description

WITF is seeking an experienced Broadcast Maintenance Engineer to monitor and maintain remote production trucks, studio production, origination and transmission equipment such as cameras, videotape equipment, distribution equipment, switchers, and editors. Our engineers determine specs and requisitions for new equipment and maintenance supplies, perform Operation Technician duties as needed, and train employees in operation of production, recording and broadcast equipment as well as engineer studio and remote audio and video productions while striving to maintain high quality control standards. Job duftites and responsibilities include:

Determines specification and requisitions for new equipment and maintenance supplies.
Trains employees on proper handling of operation of equipment.
Performs Operation Technician responsibilities as needed.
Monitor and maintain station transmitting equipment including TV and FM transmitters, translators, microwave radio systems, satellite systems, and related F/O gear.
May be assigned to engineer studio and remote audio and video productions.
Provide engineering support in the field and the studio.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Candidates should have an Associate’s Degree in Electronics, Electronic Technology or Broadcast Engineering and a minimum 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Shifts can include weekends and holidays. Valid driver’s license required. Class B CDL with air brake certification preferred or willingness to obtain. Must be able to work outdoors in hot and cold conditions. This position is a NABET Union position.
